It is a 4×2 weeks lecture/workshop-based training programme designed to give junior European animation film and production professionals an understanding of the European and international animation industry and markets, as well the space, time and tools to develop, finance and produce their own projects, careers and eventually production companies.

It is a program conceived and developed by TAW, VIA UC along with its European partner schools the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, MOME and Gobelins, L’école de l’image. Each one of the four modules held at and delivered by one of the four ASF partner institutions.

The Animation Workshop/VIA University College (TAW), founded in 1988, is located in Viborg, Denmark. It is a part of VIA University College’s School of Business, Technology and Creative Industries. It is Scandinavia’s leading animation institution and has expertise in the areas of education, culture, communication and business development. To this effect, it benefits from a strong international network of artists, professionals, companies, funding institutions and partner schools.

The Animation Workshop is composed of 4 different departments: The Bachelor of Arts in Character Animation and CG Art, the Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Storytelling, Talent and Skills Development, and the Research & Development department: Center for Animation, Visualization & Digital Storytelling.
